Molly the Fire Safety Dog Headed to Dallas!

As you may recall, we shared information about a very special young man, Hector Montoya, from the Dallas area, awhile back (http://www.firesafetyrocks.com/2014/04/smoke-alarms-for-hector.html)

Instead of buying himself something for his birthday, Hector wanted to buy smoke alarms to help keep children in his area safe.

Tomorrow we leave for Dallas to see Hector, and we are so very excited!

These are the events that we have planned with Hector. What is super cool about all of this, is that Hector wanted us to visit two schools to share our fire safety program. Guess what? Hector is going to help too!

9:00 AM    Fire Safety Presentation
Daniel’s Academy of Science and Math
                 801 SW 19th Street
                 Grand Prairie, TX

10:00 AM   Fire Safety Presentation
                  Lee Elementary
                  401 East Grand Prairie Rd.
                  Grand Prairie, TX

11:15 AM Presentation of smoke alarms to Hector and the   Dallas Fire Department on behalf of First Alert and the Keep Kids Fire Safe Foundation.

                  Dallas Fire Department Station #36
                  3241 N. Hampton
                  Dallas, TX

After presentation, Hector and I will be at Dallas Fire
Department's Station 36 for a meet and greet until noon!

Woot, woot! We hope you can come!

Special thanks to First Alert for providing 250 smoke alarms and the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department for allowing the Keep Kids Fire Safe Foundation the opportunity to come to their station.

But most of all, we would like to thank HECTOR, for helping keep kids safe! You rock!

I'm Headed to New York City!!!

The other day we thought our dream of going to NYC to help share fire safety at the Paws for Style event were dashed and this morning we received the most wonderful gift!

Thanks to an anonymous donor, we received the amount that we needed to participate in the event! Please join me in thanking them. This means SO MUCH to us in that we will be able to reach so many people with the fire safety message! Now begins the next part of our trip: raising funding for our expenses (hotel, food and gas). If you would like to help (no amount is to big or too small), please go to http://www.keepkidsfiresafe.org. Your donation is 100% tax deductible. I would be forever grateful! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, anonymous donor!
